This is the classic feel of a rich Chardonnay - although we wouldn't call this one "buttery." It's more seductive than that... vanilla cream and lemon curd drizzled with cooked honey, toasted almond and a little citrus zest. The zest keeps it zesty, while the rich cream flavor keeps it smooth.
Delicious With
Poached salmon, lobster rolls, panko parmesan chicken cutlets, and Cacio e Pepe
Their Cred
Winemaker, Erin Mitchell, has worn many hats since beginning her wine career in the early 90s. From the gourmet foods department of Macy’s to launching Triage Wines –the first wholesale wine company in the Pacific Northwest importing and distributing natural wine, she landed in San Francisco at Farm Wine Imports in 2010. Here she teamed up with fellow winemaker, Randy Czech, who started as a brewer in Colorado before studying viticulture at Napa Valley College. Working in the lab, the cellar, and the vineyard, Randy cut his teeth across wineries in California, South Africa, and Australia. With a commitment to organic farming and making classic, low-intervention wines, Randy and Erin started making wine together in a friend’s barn near the mouth of the Russian River. What started as a passion project soon evolved into Unturned Stone – releasing their first wines in 2015. When not in the vineyard or winery, Erin still works for Farm Wine Imports and Randy is a consulting viticulturist for several vineyards in Sonoma County, including Gary Farrell Winery and Pigasus Vineyard.
