A fresh, lighter style of Mourvèdre; this gulpable chilled red is too good to recork. They call it L'il Trouble after their frisky Nigerian dwarf goat 'Trouble', but no worries – it won’t get you into too much trouble. Made entirely with organic grapes and clocking in at only 9.5% alcohol, this crushable delight is so refreshingly delicious you may serve on ice (don’t, but also no one is looking). Like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher covered in cranberry, it’s meant to be served chilled, preferably on a hot day. Only 200 cases made!

Delicious With

Great with salty snacks and strong flavors – beef jerky, pork rinds, smoked fish, hot dogs and burgers.

Their Cred

Inspired by Rhone varietals and blends, winemaker William Allen began making wine in his garage. Over the years, his one-person micro-winery continued to expand and experiment, and he eventually earned the nickname, 'insane master of small lots'. Today he leases just a few rows here and there from unique, off-the-radar vineyard sites throughout Northern California. Two Shepherd's total production is small (~4,000 cases per year) but they produce a wide range of wines - about 15 different bottlings each vintage. All the wines are fermented with native yeast, aged on the lees in neutral barrels, minimally racked with no fining, filtration, or additions other than a small amount of sulfur.
