Marcobarba Barbarossa is a pure, glou-glou red that’s all about juicy, unfiltered fun.

Bright cherry, wild strawberry, and a pop of raspberry, with a zing of Mediterranean herbs and a crunchy, mineral backbone. Made in Veneto by Marco Barba and the Barbaboyz, this biodynamic blend brings together Merlot, Cabernet, Raboso, and a handful of local mystery grapes, all wild-fermented in cement and bottled unfiltered with just a whisper of sulfur. The vibe? Super fresh, light, and almost rosé-bright, with lively acidity and a little stemmy spice that makes every sip mouthwatering. It’s the kind of red you want chilled, poured generously, and shared with friends over pizza, grilled veggies, or a backyard barbecue. Marcobarba is an innovative natural wine project led by Marco “Barba” Sartori, based in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. Marco, who began his winemaking journey working alongside the legendary Angiolino Maule at La Biancara, focuses on organic and biodynamic farming, crafting wines that are unfiltered, unfined, and made with minimal intervention. The Barbarossa bottling showcases his commitment to expressing local grape varieties and the unique terroir of the region, resulting in vibrant, energetic wines with a distinct sense of place. Marcobarba’s approach is rooted in sustainability, authenticity, and a playful spirit, making his wines favorites among fans of natural and low-intervention styles.
