This is Chardonnay like you’ve never met it before – think golden hour in a glass, a little wild, a little mysterious, and utterly captivating. This is not your buttery, oaky classic; instead, it’s a skin-contact adventure, where the grapes spend extra time mingling with their skins, picking up a gorgeous amber hue and a tapestry of flavors. Aaaaand... Half is vinified carbonically, so the aromatics on this wine are gorgeous! Expect a swirl of dried apricot, orange peel, and chamomile, with a whisper of almond and a tease of spice - texture galore! Tangy citrus, stone fruit, and a gentle grip that keeps you coming back for more.

Delicious With

Try it alongside Moroccan-spiced chicken or roasted root vegetables, a wedge of aged cheddar or a nutty Comté. Grilled salmon or seared tuna, mushroom risotto or a plate of herby lentil salad. Korean fried chicken or crispy tofu will let its zesty, slightly funky edge shine.

Les Lunes Wines (as well as Populis) is the brainchild of Shaunt Oungoulian and Diego Roig, two passionate winemakers who are redefining California’s natural wine scene from the ground up. Based in the rolling hills of Sonoma and Mendocino, Les Lunes is all about hands-on, holistic farming-they lease and organically farm their own vineyards, believing that great wine starts in healthy, living soils. Shaunt and Diego do most of the vineyard work themselves, eschewing chemicals and focusing on biodiversity to let each site’s unique character shine. In the cellar, their approach is equally gentle: native yeast fermentations, minimal sulfur, and no fining or filtration, resulting in wines that are vibrant, textured, and full of personality.
