L'Aietta | 2017 Brunello di Montalcino
Brunellos are famous for a reason – made with 100% Sangiovese Grosso and can easily aged for 30+ years – these wines are liquid umami! It's difficult to talk about the L'Aietta Brunello di Montalcino without using superlatives, as this is one of the best Brunellos you'll find. A beautiful mix of crushed, stewed berries, fresh forest floor and old leather chairs almost make you feel like you’re in some Italian hunting cabin in the woods. Tons of baking spice, rich black fruit with a vivid ripe sweetness that balances out gorgeous acidity. This wine is drinking beautifully now, and will lie down for at least another 20 years – if you can wait that long.
