Grenache-y in a great way. Candied fruit, but not heavy at all. Sour cherry jam with a bit of cool lava rock. Light and fresh like wildflowers and fresh forest air. A perfect red for when you don’t feel like a white wine; it transitions well day to night and warm to cool.

Delicious With

Great with roasted meats and vegetables, stews, heavier game birds like turkey and pheasant. Delicious with curry. This lighter style Grenache is also perfect with cured meats, dark fish like salmon or a smoky barbecue.

Their Cred

Marc Castan began the domaine with vineyards inherited from his grandfather, but has since grown the project to comprise 30 microplots across roughly 40 acres. The farming practices extend beyond the organic certification, and include compost, herbal teas, and highland cows for weeding and fertilizing. He creates vibrant wines that are always unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal (if any) sulfur.
