Sunshine in a bottle - but this is a serious sipper. A slightly zippy texture leads to some dynamite tropical fruit like lychee and starfruit, then it gets a bit serious with a citrus-y grapefruit and lemon rind flavor. This wine spends two weeks on the skins making it a true "skin contact" or orange wine. Although, it's best not to categorize this beauty - she transcends labels and should just be fully enjoyed. Traditionally a Spanish grape varietal, this California version is a delightful rendition.
Delicious With
Padrón peppers, gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp), and charcuterie with soft cheeses like Manchego. Light white meats, such as grilled chicken or lemon-herb pork skewers.
