Don't let the color of this wine fool you - the gorgeous orangey, brick-red hue of the Nebbiolo grape is subtle and yet so powerful. Astoundingly delicious with food - really any type of protein or rich umami flavors - this wine is meant for the table. The Nebbiolo grape is known in the famously pricey Barolo and Barbaresco regions, yet you can still find some delicious and affordable wines in neighboring regions like this one in the Langhe. The wine is like a high-toned cherry and raspberry cobbler, wrapped in a truffle crust, and dusted with powdered dried raisins.

Delicious With

Meaty beef pasta, slow braised beef or pork, grilled steak, lamb meatballs, boar sausage. Cheeses like Brie, creamy feta, or goat cheese. Dark meat poultry, pulled pork, or rustic chili.

Their Cred

Following the passing of her father in 2012, Anna Lisa, a fourth-generation vintner – young and fierce with determination – took over the family's nine-hectare vineyard and winery. With the help of her three daughters and her husband Elvio, Anna Lisa continues her great-grandfather’s tradition of tending the vines completely by hand, showing the utmost respect for the land and nature. Each year, the grape harvest is also carried out by hand, and as they make wines with little to no intervention, she says it allows her to share her family’s history and passion in winemaking.
