A highly under-the-radar region and grape that will rock your socks off all season long! Unoaked and deliciously pure – a rough-edged, jagged quartz sheathed in a smooth, creamy leather pouch. Like honey crisp apples and stone fruit with a bracing acidity and a sharp mineral core. Incredibly sparky on the nose, with yellow cherry, orange zest and white flowers. Salted apricot. A zippy body and a soft and relaxed finish. Full of energy!
A classic pairing with melted Raclette cheese and all the fixings – mini steamed potatoes, cornichons, picked onions, good seeded mustard, and crusty bread for dipping. Also delicious with delicate poultry like turkey or roasted chicken. Pair with all the root vegetables of the season and picked anything.
Working organically since 2017, Romain Chamiot is located under Mont Granier in the Savoie region of Apremont, France. This wine comes from a grape called Jacquère planted to this land’s famous limestone soils - the best place in the world to grow this grape. The Chamiot family has owned vineyards in the picturesque Apremont appellation for several generations and the young Romain has recently taken the reigns from his grandparents to continue the lineage.
