Their Cred

The two Weinreich brothers took over the family winery in 2009 when their father suddenly passed away. Still in enology school, the boys took over and immediately converted to organic farming and native yeast fermentation in their tiny town and special viticultural area known as Bechtheim, Germany. While their father focused on red wines, they believe this region makes great whites and beautiful rosé from native red varietals. The older, more traditional generation of German winemakers used the red grapes of the region to make traditionally dry red wines. Today, with the effects of climate change and a willingness to embrace the grape’s natural expression and thwart traditional styles, winemakers like the Weinreich brothers are making tasty wines we all want to drink.
