This Riesling is strikingly soft! Citrus, but a ripe, richer citrus. Yum! There is no petrol (like many classic German Rieslings) or anything too sharp about this wine. It’s just loads of ripe tangerine, grapefruit, and a hint of orange. The silky texture keeps you coming back for more. A total favorite for gatherings outside when you need a knockout wine everyone keeps coming back for.

Delicious With

Extremely food friendly! Fun to experiment with creamy or buttery flavors, like quiche with a flaky crust or chicken pot pie. Fabulous with seafood of all kinds, fish, shellfish, and ceviche. Great with fruit and cream, so enjoy the farmer’s market bounty of fresh produce with this one.

Their Cred

Located in Thürneustift, a village in the northern most part of Kamptal, Josef Schenter and Julia Nather farm and craft honest wines with a story to tell. According to ancient Sumerian scripts, Nibiru is the name of a planet that crosses our solar system every 3,600 years, traveling in the opposite direction than the rest of our planets. The name symbolizes and reflects their philosophy, their willfulness and determination to follow their own direction. When taking over Josef’s 3rd generation family winery in 2015 the two introduced true holistic and biodynamic farming with the ultimate goal to convert their vineyards into wild habitats with vines grown throughout. The predominately old vines tended to by Nibiru in these cooler reaches of the Kamptal create wines with exceptional liveliness and structure, from Riesling and skin contact Müller Thurgau, to Pét-Nat and Blauer Portugieser chilled reds.
