Maison Perraud | 'Brut de Cuve' Beaujolais

The light body, bright fruit, and subtle dryness of this quickly-fermented harvest wine make it the perfect match for a casual spread of noshing foods – go French with a spread of cheeses and charcuterie, or Mediterranean with a mezze platter of fresh herbs, spiced salads, and dips. Classically paired with a Thanksgiving or holiday table, this wine can flow from apps all the way through dessert.

The Perraud family has been farming vineyards in Beaujolais for six generations. Bruno and Isabelle took over the family vineyards in 1988 and after a decade of conventional farming, Bruno got very sick and they realized they were out of sync with mother nature. They converted to organic and became certified in 2002, while also extending the natural wine focus to the cellar. All wines are vinified, aged, and bottled with zero additives. This all shows in the pure freshness of their wines. Bruno’s wife, Isabelle, is an activist - socially, politically, and economically in their community. We love this duo for all they are doing to make their corner of the world better.
