Domaine Huet is considered to be one of the hallmark producers of Chenin Blanc in the Loire, owning three of the most iconic vineyards in Vouvray. They make this superb sparkling using grapes from these three vineyards and some smaller plots. This sparkler is a beauty – like pineapple chunks, honeysuckle, and chamomile tea. There is a thick, intense richness to the bubbles with a hint of tropical fruit, white flowers and this great mineral finish.

This is a great warm-weather champagne alternative! A perfect aperitif (glass before the meal) and can also hang for 5 courses. The honeysuckle (or just honey) flavor is perfect with crispy Hot Chicken (southern fried spicy chicken) drizzled with honey!

Their Cred

In 1928, WWI veteran Victor Huët escaped the city life and settled in Vouvray, a small town in the France’s beautiful Loire Valley. He purchased his first vineyards and founded Domaine Huët with his son, Gaston. With his obsession and devotion to quality, Gaston crafted wines from Chenin Blanc that quickly gained attention. Despite spending five years in a WWII POW camp, Gaston persevered with his charisma and engaging personality. Domaine Huët is now known as the standard for incredible, age-worthy Chenin Blanc. They continue to produce some of the world’s most compelling white wines—and in sparkling, dry, semi-dry, and breathtaking dessert styles.
