This single vineyard Cabernet Franc is what French wine dreams are made of. Thick crushed berries and lavender fields – it’s both soft and powerful. From 40-year-old vines, this wine comes from a special vineyard site that gives a beautifully concentrated richness to the grapes. Smooth and mouth-filling goodness.

Their Cred

On the right bank of the Vienne River, just outside of Chinon, Frédéric Sigonneau has reinvigorated his family vineyard. After studying viticulture in Spain, he returned home to the Loire Valley and in 2007 founded Domaine de L'R on his family's 8 hectare estate. There, 45 to 60 year-old Cab Franc vines grow on the soils that were historically the riverbeds of the Vienne. Frédéric is hardcore about farming the vineyard and working in the cellar as naturally as possible .
