Christina | Skin Contact Chardonnay
Skin-contact with Austrian wine royalty
Buttercream, kumquat toast, and orange peel. There is a hint of baked apple and soft baking spice too – this wine is the brilliance of defining your own style. An extraordinary expression of Chardonnay that was left on the skins (hence the ‘skin-contact’) for 18 days, while the wine extracted all the gorgeous color and fruity tannins from those skins. It’s spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, so the wine stays fresh and alive, with a touch of a lift, not quite a fizz, on the tongue.

An orange wine to remember
So good with aromatic cuisine like Thai curries, or savory buttery dishes like Indian korma. Beautiful with grilled fish or lemon roasted chicken.

The labels of the wines are a tribute to the beneficial insects that inhabit the vineyards where they help manage pests and build soil health and biodiversity. The whole family lives and makes wine in the same charming house – a veeery long building running from the street straight up to the cellar and one of their vineyards.
